After talking to Todd about his life altering experience of losing his wife, grief seemed to be a pretty obvious choice for mind moment. But the Julies have been working on mindfulness and meditation the last few weeks and realized that this topic applies well to Todd's interview.  Mindfulness goes beyond mediation and we can use it daily to benefit our physical and mental health.  As always, if you have any questions or want to know more about the mindfulness program we are doing, you can reach out to us on social media (Facebook and Instagram) at Your Courageous Journey or email us at ycjpodcast@gmail.com.

Being a ride share driver has allowed to me (Julie Faerber) to meet people from all walks of life. Some of them even open up to me about some significant events in their lives. This week's episode is with our new friend Todd Wangsgard. He was one of those passengers I was blessed with who was willing to share a very difficult part of his life's story with me.  In our interview, he explains how life has been since the sudden passing of his wife just a few years ago. We know grief is such a complicated and long journey. Everyone grieves differently and Todd's faith continues to help get him through each day.

In this episode we talk to Denise and Jeff about the challenges they have faced as a couple and in their family from PTSD.  Jeff has been a firefighter for over 30 years so he has seen a lot.  They both have eye-opening information about what it's like to be a first responder and the toll it can take.  They also share valuable information about PTSD and trauma in general.  For them, faith has played a significant roll in being able to find the healing they've needed.  It was an incredible interview and we hope you all benefit from it as much as we did!

We made it to season 2!  We're so happy to be back with you!  Today LuAnn Faerber shares her emotional journey with cancer, not once but twice. She has such a healthy and positive outlook on life and health.  We thought it was appropriate to share this message at the beginning of the new year since people are often creating new health goals for themselves.
